'Here be Dragons'

Ancient map makers used this phrase to indicate wild unknown country.

Information governance is somewhat like that.  This will be a practical discussion around:

:  The Why

:  The What

:  The When

and most importantly

:  The How

Of information Governance, particularly in Government.

The Presenter

Kate Muir has many years of varied ICT experience, both within private enterprise and the Public Sector.  Over the last 17 years she has managed Branches delivering information management products and services.

Kate is a member of the IBM Information Agenda team and is the Industry Consultant focussed upon Information Management within the Australian Federal Government.  A key part of Kate’s role is to bring long term, practical experience and knowledge of managing the Information Management function to IBM customers within Government.

Prior to joining IBM, Kate was a Senior Executive within the Federal Government specialising in providing Information Management services including both technology and information to her internal customer base.  This included setting the Information Management Strategy and developing the relevant Frameworks, Policies and Guidelines.
